The NIU MBA Program recently launched a new marketing communications campaign in Downtown Chicago. The campaign features exterior ads on CTA buses and interior CTA rail cars, as well as digital ads inside theMART (formerly known as The Merchandise Mart), the home of NIU’s One Year MBA Program.
The program is also connecting directly with prospective students by providing free coffee at an informational table at theMART for employees and commuters on select days.
“The purpose of this Chicago marketing communications campaign is to create awareness of our One Year Chicago MBA Program,” said Anthony Preston, assistant dean, graduate business programs. “With our main campus in DeKalb, many do not realize that we offer programs in Chicago, Schaumburg and Naperville as well.”
The campaign features a contemporary look and emphasizes a key program differentiator — “One Year to Leadership Opportunities.”
“The program provides students with extensive career coaching, instant networking opportunities via a cohort model and access to world-renowned faculty — all of which will help students rise to greater leadership opportunities,” said Preston. “And, this can all be accomplished in one year.”
The One Year Chicago MBA Program begins each year during the fall semester and meets twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Throughout the program students will experience C-suite networking, executive lecture events, special topic electives, a personalized professional development plan and a nine-day international study program. The curriculum consists of specialized business courses in accounting, finance, management, marketing and operations.
The Program Office encourages those who see the ads to take a photo and share it via the MBA social media platforms. The MBA Program has accounts on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Participants may receive a complimentary MBA T-shirt for tagging the program in their posts.
