College of Business Award Winners Honored at End-of-Year Ice Cream Party

At an ice cream party earlier this month, the NIU College of Business honored our outstanding faculty and staff.

This year’s VIBE (Values in Barsema Exhibited) Award winners were chosen for exemplifying our core values of excellence, integrity and caring in their work and relationships with colleagues. Since 2017, individual employees or key groups have been recognized in this way.

Through college nominations, we identified our 2023-24 award winners:

  • Our LRS Undergraduate Student Success advising team, comprised of Margee Myles, Meredith Eskoff, Courtney Harms, Megan Woodruff and Amanda Lepic.
  • Management professor Amanda Ferguson.
  • Operations management and information systems instructor Karah Osterberg.

Additional faculty and staff were recognized for their significant accomplishments this semester:

  • Professor Tim Michaelis, who won the 2023-24 NIU College of Business Outstanding Research Award.
  • Professor Eric Michel, who won the 2024 NIU Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching Award.
  • Nichole Jackson, office administrator for the Department of Management, for receiving the Rising Huskie Award.

At the event, the following staff members were recognized as they prepare to step down from their current administrative roles and return to the classroom:

  • Daewoo Park, associate dean.
  • Jon Briscoe, Department of Management chair.
  • Vijaykumar Krishnan Palghat, Department of Marketing chair.

And, finally, we recognized milestone anniversaries for staff members:

  • Amanda Lepic, who reached five years with our college.
  • Mark Mourlas, who reached five years with our college.
  • Meredith Eskoff, who reached 10 years with our college.
  • Angie Listy, who reached 20 years with our college.
