MBA alumnus Kris Radhakrishnan to direct financial excellence at a global private investment firm

Kris Radhakrishnan, a graduate of the NIU MBA program with emphasis in finance, was appointed to serve as director of financial excellence for SK Capital Partners. The company is a private investment firm focused on the specialty materials, chemicals and pharmaceuticals sectors. SK Capital’s portfolio of businesses generates revenues of approximately $11 billion annually, employs more than 16,000 people globally and operates 153 plants in 28 countries. The firm currently has greater than $5 billion of assets under management.

Radhakrishnan brings more than 25 years of global corporate finance experience in multiple industries to his new position, with more than 15 years within the specialty materials, chemicals and pharmaceutical sectors as well as over 15 years as CFO at several private equity-owned companies.

Most recently, he served as CFO of QMax Solutions, Inc., an oilfield services company. Prior to QMax, he was CFO of Prince International Corporation, a mineral-based specialty additives company. He previously held CFO positions at other private equity-backed companies, including Nelson Global Products, American Achievement Corporation, and Resolution Specialty Materials, as well as various finance roles at Celanese Chemicals, McWhorter Technologies and Abbott Laboratories.
