Accountancy Professor named the Gaylen and Joanne Larson Professor in Accountancy

Brad Cripe, assistant chair and associate professor, has been named the Gaylen and Joanne Larson Professor in Accountancy. Cripe’s research interests includes practical tax issues facing individuals and corporations. Additionally, he has earned the department’s undergraduate and graduate teaching awards. Along with serving in a number of leadership roles on campus, Cripe currently leads the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program through which students prepare hundreds of tax returns for senior citizens, international students, and others needing assistance. Alumni Gaylen (B.S. Accountancy) and Joanne (B.S. Business Education) Larson created the professorship in support of the college’s outstanding accountancy program and faculty.
