Produced by the Controllers Council, “The Black C-Suite: Challenges and Opportunities” is a complimentary webcast that will address the gap in representation of African Americans and minorities in the top executive ranks of U.S. corporations. The webcast will feature black executives who will share their respective journeys to the executive suite. The panel discussion will explore ideas and solutions for improving representation.
Brandt Kucharski, Chief Accounting Officer at Grubhub, and NIU alumnus of the institution’s accountancy program, will serve as the discussion moderator and webcast Q&A facilitator along with Sarah Harris, General Counsel and Chair of the Diversity & Inclusion Committee at Armanino, a Top 25 CPA firm.
“The small percentage of Black and minority business professionals to achieve the highest executive positions is well documented,” said Lindy Antonelli, Controllers Council Board Chair. “Our lively discussion will share some of the challenges experienced by our featured speakers and panelists, and importantly identify and debate how to address problems and achieve positive change now and in the future.”
